Sumario: 7 June 2011, Brussels - The Council of the European Union adopted a decision today extending the assets freeze to six Libyan port authorities, in view of the gravity of the situation in the country.
The decision amends Council Decision 2011/137/CFSP, adopted on 28 February, which introduced a travel ban and an assets freeze, while granting the necessary humanitarian exemptions.
The decision was adopted by written procedure. It will be published in the Official Journal of the EU on Wednesday, 8 June 2011.
