Sommaire: 15 August 2012, Brussels - The spokesperson of Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, issued the following statement today:
"The High Representative is following with concern the developments around the Ministry of Defence in Sana'a, coming two weeks after the looting of the Ministry of Interior. It is important that any demands relating to social or working conditions are expressed and furthered by purely peaceful means.
The High Representative calls on parties to respect the State institutions and ensure the full implementation of the decrees issued by President Hadi, which are consistent with the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and UN Security Council Resolution 2051."
